The Purpose of This Blog

A Common way that for Homeschooling parents to teach history is to supplement r history is to supplement their lesson with works of historical fiction. This makes the history lesson come alive for the students. This approach to teaching history was first endorsed by an educator named Charlotte Mason and it is used in several home school Curriculums.
The purpose of this blog is to provide librarians with booklists and resources that will help them serve homeschoolers who are looking for works of historical fiction to use as part of their history collections.


To create this blog I used Information I gained from talking to Sandra Gormley a homeschooling parent, various professional reviews such as BookList, Publishers Weekly, and The School Library Journal and the Websites Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com to find appropriate books, product descriptions, reviews and images. I also Used Random house's Magic Tree House Page and The Getty Book Store to find product information and images. I also used Knowledge that I had gained through personal experience and observation, while I and mt siblings were being home schooled .
